The next step in the RFP process is an on-site operations and financial review with each organization that applied for funding. If your organization applied for 2010 funds, you can expect to hear from a volunteer panelist in late September about scheduling your on-site review.
The reviews are conducted by volunteer panelists who review several organizations as part of their duties as a panelist. Each panelist receives training on how to read the RFP, what information to look for and request at the on-site review and the funding allocation process. The panelists who visit your site are your advocates throughout this process. It is important that you work with them to schedule a review and to impart as much relevant information as possible to them. It is imperative that you have representatives present at the review that can speak to operational details as well as financial details. If you have any questions about the process, feel free to call the United Way office at 479-968-5089.
The next step in the process is a meeting of the allocations committee. This committee is comprised of all of the volunteer panels members. Each panel is chaired by a member of the River Valley United Way Board of Directors. This meeting will occur in January 2010. Funding decisions will be made and then recommended to the full Board of Directors at the January meeting of the board. Your agency will be informed of funding decisions by letter in January.
